Although AR already exists, it has a lot of space for improvement. AR can seamlessly integrate real-world information with virtual world information. It is a kind of physical information that is difficult to experience in a certain time and space of the real world, such as visual information, sound, taste, and touch. Through computer and other science and technology, simulation and then superimposition, the virtual information is applied to the real world, perceived by human senses, to achieve a sensory experience beyond reality. The real environment and virtual objects are superimposed in real time on the same picture or space. The AR not only displays the information of the real world, but also displays the virtual information at the same time, and the two kinds of information complement each other and superimpose. In visual augmented reality, users can use the helmet display to combine the real world with computer graphics to see the real world around it. AR includes new technologies and new methods such as multimedia, 3D modeling, real-time video display, and control, multi-sensor fusion, real-time tracking and registration, and scene fusion. Augmented reality provides information that is different from what humans can perceive in general.

  1. Hi Lezhen! This is a very interesting topic and very similar to mine as well. We both have thought about the visual reality future in term of new media. AR is improving its age and I believe soon it will take a major role in daily life. I'm very anticipating for what the world will be like when AR is more adapting to the society and use by people.

  2. Hey Lezhen,
I agree with you that there is a long way to go with the AR experience. As of right now, the technology is very limited to simply just seeing and hearing. I believe that once there is more demand for more immersive AR technology, companies will start to produce them. It is exciting to see what direction AR technology will go.

    1. Hi Lezhen, very interesting input on AR tech. I agree with tenchichenics3810, the AR technology is still fairly limited right now. When it advances to 3D simulators and gives the full real world experience not just seeing and hearing they will be able to add it to movies etc.
